| Summer 2008 Joint Concert with the Hurstingstone Singers |
This summer, on Saturday the 7th June at 7:30pm in St Edmund or St James' Church in Blunham Bedfordshire, the Moonlighters were joined by The Hurstingstone Singers to perform an evening of musical entertainment. Both choirs are led by Paul Parsons and performed 2 halves of contrasting music.
In the first half The Hurstingstone Singers performed a selection of sacred and secular choral music from the renaissance and early baroque periods and this was followed by a interval with refreshments. For the second half, the Moonlighters presented a selection of their early 20th century popular choral pieces with the addition of some decidedly modern music from the 60's and 70's. They were accompanied by Anne Jessop on the double bass
