The Moonlighters

A group of amateurs who love to perform close harmony singing in a variety of styles.

The Moonlighters is a group of around a dozen amateur choral singers led by a professional musical director.

The Moonlighters formed in 1991. They won prizes at the
Bedfordshire Music Festival in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002. Since then they have concentrated on perfecting their technique and increasing their
repertoire. This now includes a mixture of swing and blues from the 30's 40's and 50's, traditional folk songs, spirituals, choral pieces and anything else that takes their fancy.

The present Musical Director Paul Parsons joined the Moonlighters in 2002
Born and raised in Manchester, Paul Parsons won a scholarship to Chetham's School of Music, where he studied organ, harpsichord and oboe;  he went on to Cambridge, where he was organ scholar at Gonville and Caius.  After a period of study with Lionel Rogg at the Geneva Conservatoire, Paul travelled the world with his career.
He currently is also involved in the Hurstingstone Singers

The Moonlighters will be performing their new repertoire at Tempsford Harvest Supper on Sunday October 4th 2009 - See Events for details
Due to an influx of female singers and some members personal matters The Moonlighters are temporarily short of a couple of male voices. If you are a Bass or Tenor, (or anything in between) we would love to hear from you. Please see the "join us" page for contact details.
